Topic not showing after Zurich release upgrade issue and fix

With the Zurich release, we now have the option to Enable user criteria check directly in Topic records. This is a great addition for admins and developers because it allows us to restrict topics to specific users beyond what Connected Content user criteria can do.
However, after upgrading, we noticed an issue: One topic wasn’t showing up even though its configuration looked correct.
What we found:
- The XML of the Topic record showed Enable user criteria check = false.
- This happened despite the UI showing the expected configuration.
- This record was updated before because we changed the User criteria in the 'Available for' of the Parent record - our expectation was, that Child topics would inherit this configuration and this happened as expected for some records, except for this one... So, be on the lookout when applying User criteria to Topics.
How we fixed it:
- Removed the Available for value.
- Unchecked Enable user criteria check, then checked it again.
- Captured the change in an update set and deployed to higher instances.
This resolved the visibility issue.
Important note:
Topics might remain cached after the fix. To validate:
- Impersonate a user who should see the Topic.
- End impersonation to refresh the cache.
