Topic usage

Is there a report OOB for Employee Center that tells the usage of the topics in the taxonomy?  For example, if the taxonomy is IT as the parent and Hardware, Software, Access and Security as child topics, I'm looking to see how many times Hardware gets used/clicked, Access and Security gets used/clicked, etc.  I thought I read somewhere that there was but I can't find where I read it and I can't seem to find it in ServiceNow.

Hi Keith, I'm not sure if there are specific reports/queries for this but I've been able to report on topic usage through User Experience Analytics for our portal. When you launch User Experience Analytics, look for "Employee Center" and launch that. You can change your date range for the analytics in the upper right and in the "Top Events" widget you can click on "Topic Page Visits" to expand that information.

When that opens, you should have a "Topic Name" widget and you can click the download icon to download the data to an Excel file where you can see all of your taxonomy topics and how many times they were used during the specified timeframe.

Hope this helps!

The reports that are available in User Experience Analytics are a good source for obtaining topic visitor numbers and knowledge article visitor numbers.

However, these reports only display the top visited topics and articles.

Is there any way to also show (maybe through a filter) the less visited topics and articles?

I do know the option of exporting all topic and article including the number of visits to a CSV file but then you leave the option of realtime reporting / filtering that makes the User Experience Analytics stand out.
