As companies look to reduce cost and direct spend on applications that provide value, enterprise architects (EAs) play a key role in partnering with the business. EAs need to align applications to business capabilities, retire, renew, or replace applications in the portfolio and mitigate risk.
EAs can help reduce cost by reducing application proliferation and redundancies with multiple applications that support the same business capabilities. By having a disposition plan for applications, EAs can help mitigate risk for those applications nearing end of life.
With the Q4 2023 store release of ServiceNow Application Portfolio Management, EAs are able to easily rationalize the application portfolio from the Enterprise Architecture Workspace. With an easy to read bubble chart, EAs can plan the lifecycle of an application. Enhanced and customizable dashboards provide at a glance views of applications to help make decisions.
