Hi all,
I was curious if anyone is experiencing similar behavior when assigning a business application to a business capability via the Business Portfolio section of EA Workspace.
It appears that the list of applications stop populating after a certain number of apps, which less than half of our total applications. Users are not able to search for any application that starts E - Z in our portfolio, reducing the consumer experience.
I am not aware of any condition or configuration I can change to allow for all 'In Production' application to show here. See screenshot for reference.
Thanks,
Zach

@Zach Allen1 This issue has been resolved in Enterprise Architecture Workspace version 3.2.0. It is no longer reproducible in the latest versions.

Hi Zach,
That is the intended functionality. Users are meant to begin typing to narrow down the search results. The search is a contains search so the end user just needs to know some part of the name of the application. When a user is assigning a Business App to a Business Cap, they should already know what application they are relating and it would be easier & faster to use the search functionality.
If a user wants to review the entire list of applications, they should do so in the Portfolio section of the EA Workspace.

Thanks for the reply, Jonathan. Makes sense and I agree that would be the best way to work in the workspace.
However, that is not the behavior we are experiencing as a whole. It looks like the search feature will not bring in any application that starts with E - Z, so even if we search for the entire application name, it does not populate in the search bar. Maybe a bug and something support can assist with. Thanks!

Hello Zach, I'm from Quality engineering team
I hope you're doing well. I have a couple of questions I’d appreciate your insight on:
- How many business applications do you currently have?
- Which version of the Enterprise Architecture workspace are you using?

@Vivekananda Cha We have ~2800 in production applications. After further review, our production instance is on 3.0.1
I noticed we were ready for an update which I did in our development instance. This was updated to 3.3.1, which now allows me to search for any application in our list. This appears to resolve the issue.
