While in the Enterprise Architecture workspace Portfolio Health reporting, or even while looking at the Business Application table [cmdb_ci_business_app] how can we quickly and easily see whether or not a Business Application is tied to a Business Capability? There is no field on the Business Application table that says yes or no it is or is not tied to a Business Capability.
From the Home screen on the Enterprise Architecture workspace under "Portfolio Overview and Health" there are KPI's which report on the # of Business applications without Capabilities, but what is the criteria for this and how can we see which apps are tied to a Capability from the Business Application list?

Hey Justin,
From everything I have seen, Business Capability cannot be brought into the list view from the business application table. However, you can see if any relationships exist between a Business Capability and Business Application by going into the App record and checking the related items list. This will show any relationship, not just capabilities, that are associated to the application upstream or downstream.
Also, in the EA Workspace, under Business Portfolio you can expand certain capabilities to see if an application is related. Depending on your hierarchy, this can be a bit hard to find. Check my screenshots attached to see where I am referring to.
The relationship type should be Business Capability provided by Business Application for OOTB functionality acknowledge the set dependency.
Hope this is helpful.

Just adding onto this if the relationship exists you could create a database view.

Thank-you Zach! Interesting indeed. Also, how can we edit the KPI scores such as the "Business applications without capabilities" Score Widget on the Home tab of the Enterprise Workspace?

I believe a lot of the configurations in EA Workspace can be found here - sn_apm_ws_ea_configuration
