What is apaas in servicenow architecture ? Please explain it in layman's terms.

Here’s a simple explanation of aPaaS (Application Platform as a Service) in the context of ServiceNow, plus how ServiceNow uses it.

 

What is aPaaS?

• Think of aPaaS as a ready-to-use platform in the cloud where you can build your own apps without worrying about all the underlying stuff (servers, databases, infrastructure).

• It gives you tools, UI builders, workflows, integrations already built-in, you focus on what your app should do, not how to set up the server.

• Like building with Lego: instead of carving each brick yourself, you have bricks ready, glue, instructions, so you build fast and clean.
