Test Management 2.0 Defect Management

Is ServiceNow going to upgrade how defects are created? I find creating a new story and flagging it as a defect is does not work well as the teams feel like they have to add DEFECT in front of every short description which makes the flag a bit useless. In Test Management 1.0 there is a separate defect table which is related to the story and projects. Having an actual defect number makes reporting easier and the stories table is not cluttered with defects with a prefix.

Additionally, when a run fails there is no add a story defect UI action which is NOT user friendly. We are having to add one, but it seems like common sense to have one by default. To be clear the Test board is fairly useless as a dynamic tool as the drill down does not open only the failed tests.

Lastly, when will Test Management 1.0 be deprecated? I feel like ServiceNow has been trying for years to get people to use 2.0, but most people I know do not care for it. Can we not take the good for 1.0 like defects and add it to 2.0?

Hi @LisaBRyder

As per Maik post 1.0 is outdated for a long time , so you should move to 2.0
