can you create crews for contractors?

anyone know if you can create crews for contractors (wm_ext_agent) if using contractor management?

i am not able to do it in my PDI
- logged in with wm_dispatcher, can create crews but only select wm_agent, not wm_ext_agent
- logged in with wm_manager, cannot select any wm_agent or wm_ext_agent (documentation says wm_manager should be able to, but looks like it's not the case)

I couldn’t find any such doc that states you can include wm_ext_agent (contractor external agent) records in ServiceNow crews (which are normally associated with wm_agent internal agents) under the standard Field Service Management / Contractor Management configuration, so if you’re seeing that the dispatcher role can create crews but only pick internal agents, and the manager role can’t pick any agents, then it suggests the system is enforcing that external contractors aren’t eligible for the crew setup out of the box and you’ll likely need to customise the configuration or speak to your vendor rep about enabling crews for external contractors.....

yes - i am 99% sure does not work together 
I was hoping someone had similar requirement and had implemented a solution.

Could you kindly describe the use case in more detail? Happy to talk with the Inbound Product team for Crews x Contractors.

If there is an Impact team for your customer you can request them to open an access to experts request. But make sure you detail the business objective and use case of the customer.

If it is more hypothetical, still happy to understand the use case and see if other customers resonate, we could consider adding to backlog with PM team for example.

it is more hypothetical at this point - we would like to have all the benefits of using crew operations for contractors such as:

•  internal contractor manager can create "contractor crew" when onboarding contractors
• ext. contractor mger can assign recurring jobs to crew instead of one contractor tech
  • can also create create, add/remove crew members
• add contractor crew leader persona (different persona than ext. contractor mger)
• ability to share internal resource/equipement with contractor techs
