FSM reservations and capacity management

Hi

I am working with a client who needs to specify capacity reservations for their field agents in order to reserve an amount of time of their schedules for specific task types on specific days of the week. I have only been able to make general rules that apply on a daily/weekly/monthly/etc basis.

My first question is how do i do reserve capacity for specifc days? I have looked into "Capacity allocation schedules" but i don't understand how.

My second question is if it is possible to do it for named resources within a territory?

@lars7  did you find a solution for  "My second question is if it is possible to do it for named resources within a territory? "  . assuming you meant that within territory A, you want specific capacity rules for tech1,2,3 vs tech 4,5,6?

Yes, that was my question. But to answer yours: I didn’t get to set anything up that was territory specific for named resources and I can’t remember if there even was a way to do it. I only ended up using a more simple solution, setting up recording “time off” intervals, and allowing the planning staff to use amend these on as exceptions to the rule, on the technicians’ schedules. The purpose of this was to avoid auto assign and schedule optimization filling up tasks in lunch breaks. We had hoped to end up with fluid/dynamic time slots during e.g. 11-13, always keeping 30 min free for a break.
