In the ServiceNow > IT Governance, Risk and Compliance Plugin we see examples from multiple standards, frameworks, guidance and regulations. This post explains an approach to updating COBIT with the latest content for COBIT 5. This includes the Continual Improvement project plan concept included in book titled Implementation (If you don't know COBIT, you need to do homework first)
Steps to bring in COBIT content into ServiceNow:

INTERNAL CORPORATE USE LICENSE: An organization can purchase Internal Corporate Use Licenses to gain access to all COBIT 5 books. Corporate Use Licenses allow corporations to use content based on COBIT 5 books for internal, non-commercial (may not be provided or sold to third parties) implementation. Uses include internal server placement, internal implementation and document creation. This program is ideal for corporations that wish to provide access to 25 or more employees at a substantial savings.
Commercial Software and Tool Developers (SN Sys Admins)
When content from COBIT 5 books is used in software products sold or given to third parties, a license is required. Please contact ipinfo@isaca.org for more information.
SINGLE PRODUCT LICENSE FOR COMMERCIAL USE: A single product license for COBIT 5 Framework, COBIT 5: Enabling Processes, COBIT 5: Enabling Information, COBIT 5 Implementation, COBIT 5 for Information Security, COBIT 5 for Assurance and COBIT 5 for Risk is available for US $7,200 (annually).
UNLIMITED COMMERCIAL USE LICENSE: For companies producing multiple products that incorporate one publication or all COBIT 5 books, an unlimited commercial license is recommended. This license will provide internal access to all COBIT 5 books and authorize the inclusion of any or all COBIT 5 books for commercial products offered to end users. An Unlimited Commercial and Internal Use License is available for US $50,000 (annually). (ServiceNow can do this - LicenseNow)
2. Purchase license contract - to learn more about the value of COBIT 5 or to make inquiries regarding licensure or use, please contact the ISACA Intellectual Property Department at ipinfo@isaca.org.
3. Download content, then load into IT GRC, or create your own custom apps. Tell all your process owners, managers and Execs.
4. Or, tell your ServiceNow Sales contacts if you think ServiceNow should buy and load the content under the UNLIMITED COMMERCIAL USE LICENSE.
