ACL Script Returns True but the field is still hidden

I have a script which I know returns true but the field remains hidden. Why?

yes answer variable should be set to true or false.And comming to passing current parameter is not required. Did you copy my script as is and tested it?

i did. i deleted it entirely. sometimes cache.do does not do the trick. I wish i could reboot the server

Dear Abhinay, once again, you were correct with all your suggestions. Comment history was hiding because there was a onLoad script g_form.setDisplay('comment_history', false) that hid the comment history for all except for the person assigned to that tasker.
