Attestation form custom field

When we are designing attestation forms we often have enough with the common fields available. However, sometimes we just want to display data with asking for any input.

So for example if a user answers 'yes' to a question we then display a text that tells them next steps to do.

Currently we use a field that is attached to a script; we either add the text to the details of the question or pull together in a script. We make the input field read-only so no input can be given.

This works but is not very attractive. If there is nothing OOTB to use maybe we need a custom field that displays the details of a field without asking for any input?

Has anyone else run up against this and found a solution?
