How to get back the request number and requested item number to the sc_task record after submitting the catalog item from the portal

Hi

My requirement is there is an ui action on sc_task( task number task0001).If we click on that ui action new catalog form will open in portal and we will submit that form, one Request and Requested item will generated.I want to update the comments in task(task0001) stating that Request number is ex:REQ0012 and ex: RITM0013.

 

Can anyone please help me on this.

I don't understand your question. Assuming that a user has submitted a request from the catalog on the portal - who are you impersonating? And what UI (portal or platform) are you using? And what record are do you have open? The RITM from which a SCTASK record is created is on the SCTASK form.

Sorry - but your updates are not clear. Maybe provide some screen shots AND tell me what roles the users have that are trying to do these actions.  In the employee portal (in the baseline) as someone that has been assigned a sctask, I do not even see the task. Those users would be using the platform to complete their work.   When you say the user clicks the UI Action - what is the label on that UI Action?
