I know that out of the box there are no metric definitions configured for the GRC tables. I want to set up simple state field duration metric definitions. I have created metric events business rules for the tables I need based on the script for the Events metric events business rule. However, my problem is that when I go to Metric Definition to set up the Metric Definition entry, I can't choose any of the tables I need from the list. What is it that determines what tables are available to choose from here? How do I get these tables added to the list of tables to choose from?

Hi Ashik,
What we wanted to do was capture state changes as well as changes to one or two other fields. We have now managed to get this working. A few points noted along the way. 1) Tables associated with scoped applications, e.g. Security Incident, were not available to select in the list of tables unless the Developer was working in the scoped application. 2) We needed to create a new Business Rule to allow the metrics to be captured for the in scope tables. 3) When creating the Business Rule we found that we could not just use the same code as the out of the box event metrics one. Luckily we have a Developer who was able to write a rule that worked in the scoped application area.
Hopefully these notes will help anyone else trying to set up metric definitions in scoped applications.
