Hi All,
Has anyone came across the issue with the "Import Policy Text" functionality which is available on compliance workspace under Policy Text field on policies
I am trying to import one doc and it performs the steps but does not show up the policy text and says- Sync between the policy text field and the Word document has been disabled. Attached is the screenshot for reference.
Is there any settings required to enable this functionality?
Thanks

Hi Neha,
- Navigate to All > Policy and Compliance > Compliance Workspace.
- In the Compliance Workspace, click the List icon (
).
- Navigate to Compliance library > My policies.
- Select a policy to open.
- Click Policy text related list to view the contents of the policy.
- Click Update in the Policy text field to update the document explicitly and review the content in the Policy text field.
The document is synced when you update. You can now view the updated document content in the Policy text field. Refresh the browser after every action.
As there are many collaborators on the policy, you must update the content to get the latest update. Last sync information helps you to know when the document was last synced.
- To open the content in Word directly in Microsoft OneDrive, click either the document link next to Sync with in the Policy text field or the Open in Word button.
- If you enable Sync with, then the document cannot be simultaneously edited both in the Microsoft OneDrive and in the Policy text field. The content can be updated in Microsoft OneDrive and can be pulled into the Policy text field.
- If you disable Sync with, then your policy text document content is disconnected from the Microsoft OneDrive document and you can edit the content independently. You can save this content by clicking the Save policy text button.
In the disconnected state, if one of the reviewers had updated the policy text and logging in as a policy owner if you click Complete publishing checklist, then the Attach policy as PDF becomes a mandatory step to attach the PDF.
You have to manually remove the previous policy, if any, and confirm before you attach the current policy.
You can also view the policy text in the Details related list.
- For a policy that is redlining enabled or not
-
- If you are a compliance user and if the policy is in draft state, then you can edit the policy text.
- If you are owner or a reviewer and if the policy is in review state, then you can edit the policy text.
Mark my answer correct & Helpful, if Applicable.
Thanks,
Sandeep

Hi Sandeep, Thanks for your response.
However, the steps to import the policy text from the doc is not working. ServiceNow confirms it is a bug, working with them to find some solution.
Thanks again!!
