TPRM update from VRM

Hi all,  I have to upgrade from VRM to TPRM, a custom process has been created on VRM and is already in use, I would like to know if the upgrade may involve any risk or issue, both with regards to OOTB and custom modifications

how will the existing Engagements in VRM migrated to TPRM? do they have to be linked to Due Diligene Request?
