Unable to Create Controls Automatically

Hello Group,

Sorry if this has been answered already, but I couldn't find a related post. I am using my developer's instance to create a test audit environment for my company as a use case. I did the following step:

I loaded the appropriately GRC plugins and demo data.

I was able to create the profile type, risk statements, and policy statements properly.

However, when I go to click on 'Create Controls Automatically', the item generation process hangs (I've already let it run overnight with no success). I read on another post to clear the 'sn_grc_item_generation' table of any hung records, but clearing the table doesn't resolve my problem. I've also attempted to create controls within the 'Global' application and the 'GRC Profiles' application from the developer setup menu. Any advise or help on where I went wrong would be greatly appreciated.

i think clearing the item generation table is only one part. that opens things back up, but when you have to do this you also have to do a bit of investigation to understand where it got stuck and try and kick things back off manually..

however, unfortunately if you un-map the profile type it can trigger a similar response with the 'Track Retiring' records getting stuck, and you need to repeat...

I need to nail this down, but one thing I think is when you map a Profile Type to some documents or content BEFORE any profiles exist... it seems to be one of the possible root causes...

Hi,

This is an older post, but do you know what was done to resolve this issue?

Thank you,

Shane

Phil,

Thank you for the information.  I have opened a HI ticket to see what is going on for our particular instance.
