Is there a way to auto update the asset warranty expiration date when adding the asset to a warranty contract? it seems to be a manual process in Servicenow. You add the contract, add the assets to the contract, which gives you the date the asset is added to the contract.
What I see missing is on the warranty contract to add the warranty timeframe, so that a business rule could trigger and update the warranty expiration date to be date added to contract Plus the warranty timeframe.
e.g. =date added is 1/1/2024. warranty timeframe is 3 years. so warranty expiration date on asset record is 12/31/2027.
does this exist?
