Asset Discovery: Is anyone using ForeScout and not ServiceNow Discovery?

Good Morning,

Our security team is telling us that we need to use the CDM's ForeScout tool to collect asset information, but we are concerned that it will not collect the data that the ITAM needs to manage assets, such as lifecycle information, and we will have to create custom code to normalize the imported data.  If we use ForeScout, then we plan to use the ForeScout plugin, but we don't think that will address these issues.

If anyone is using ForeScout either by itself, or in conjunction with ServiceNow Discovery, then we would like to get your feedback?  Also, is anyone using any other tool such as SCCM?

Yes!  Since Forescout did not provide the data required by the IT asset management team, specifically, software details, we were given permission to implement ServiceNow Discovery.  Additionally, since there is value in the SCCM data, we are now integrated with that as well.  Now our CMDB is fed from 3 different sources.  Let me know if you want to have a discussion on our configuration.
