Best Practice for Hardware Model Creation

So been using ServiceNow for over a decade and originally it seemed like the better practice was to create your models from a procurement standpoint for ITAM. With the changes to the normalization and content service in HAM Pro it seems like you have to let discovery create them. Could someone with knowledge of ITAM, HAM Pro and Discovery explain if there is a way to create models without discovery at this point if we need to use normalization with content service? Also, it seems that most of the discovery sources do not put the fields needed for normalization in the correct spots in the model record for normalization to occur automatically. So, can someone with multiple discovery sources explain how this works with normalization? Thanks.

@Jason Nichols I have watched you normalization videos and would like to hear your feedback. Thanks!

It seems like it would make sense to more let discovery models that are created be in a separate table and tie the map to the corrected hardware models similar to software? Query - Software Model table and Software Discovery Model tables - Support and Troubleshooting (serv...
