HAM Request System

Hi There,

I've been looking at our own system for logging requests etc and I'm wondering what way does everyone else handle requests in the system for ham related activities? 

Initially we were just going to use incidents to the corresponding class owner to track changes but we've been advised against that as they are not break/fixes.

I was thinking of creating an ad-hoc request for making changes in the system and just wanted to try get some insight to see how other people might work it on their end -

• does anyone else have an ad-hoc request system for Ham related activities?
• if so, what did you include in the request?

• if not - what way did you proceed?

In a nutshell - what is the process people use for making changes in ham?

Is it an incident to the corresponding team/class owner or do you use the request system?

I'm thinking I need to create a HAM specific request to track and document changes etc

Each client uses it a bit differently, there are no good or bad approaches, it is always tailored to the process.

What is "a HAM specific request" - it can be a procurement, or maintenance support, re-locating among locations, checking the warranty is not expired, ... 

HAM is a complex area, imagine like a hospital, there are different sections and surgeons will have different needs and possibilities than ophthalmologists, both from the same hospital (module) but each so different.

Thus, I would need you to go from the other side, tell me who needs what and based on that we can think of the options that HAM offers 😛

I was looking at the process guide and it has this covered in 

Hardware Deploy, Configuration and Change/Replace (HAM 2.0) - Section 2.4

So requests seem the way to go - I now need to build the request with the catalogue builder - any recommendations on how to do that?
