Hardware Asset Management without CMDB

Hello, can I implement the hardware asset management functionality within ITSM without having CMDB installed?  Thank you.

Hi @melissaclaire,

no that's not possible. The "CMDB" is one of the core features of the ServiceNow platform, covering tables and functions for various asset objects etc. ... and the CMDB is required to store your assets and ITSM objects.

 

What are your concerns using the CMDB?
