Limiting HAP Pro License consumption

Hello,

Just want to make sure my understanding is correct.

If we Opt-out any of the below categories (Refer screenshot) then HAM Pro license subscription will not be considered as consumed right? We have 50,000 assets in alm_asset table and we have only 2000 HAM pro licenses. so want to make sure we are limiting consumption to 2000

It's the same process; the ITAM License Report works for both HAM and SAM subscription units.

Hi @kkcommunity,

In general, you're right. Opting out excludes the resource category. You have to control the intake to alm_asset as well, and I'm not sure how you will achieve this if you already have 50k assets. With the ITAM License Report, you can review the allocation per category.

I would focus on what value you want to achieve and see if you can build a business case on that and get the required subscription units.

Hope this helps!

Thank you..any idea how can we do similar process for SAM Pro ?
