POS Devices are resolving to the Enterprise Retail Asset Class instead of Hardware Asset

We are currently utilizing HAM Pro across our ServiceNow instances and have encountered a question regarding asset classification for our POS Devices.

During discovery, POS Devices are automatically landing in the Enterprise Retail asset table, whereas all other tracked asset types are routed to the Hardware asset table. We would like to understand the recommended approach for routing POS Devices to the Hardware asset table to align with our broader asset management strategy.

We currently have two model categories for POS Devices:
1. The OOB POS Device model category:

CI class: Point of Sale Device [cmdb_ci_pos]
Product model class: Enterprise good model [sn_ent_retail_model]
Asset class: Enterprise asset [sn_ent_retail_asset]

2. A custom category we built which maps to the Hardware Asset class:

CI class: Point of Sale Device [cmdb_ci_pos]
Asset class: Hardware [alm_hardware]

Questions:

1. Is the Enterprise Retail asset table the intended and supported destination for POS hardware assets?
2. If routing POS Devices to the Hardware asset table is supported, what is the recommended configuration to achieve this?

Moving these devices to the Hardware asset table would provide significant benefits for our org. Reporting would improve with all asset data in one place and POS Devices could be managed alongside other hardware assets.

If anyone has encountered a similar issue, any guidance on the supported approach would be greatly appreciated!
