Hello @Rajani11 ,
The Purchase Order Line Tasks in ServiceNow are used to track the individual items or services that are being ordered. They provide a more granular level of detail than the Purchase Order Tasks.
1. Granular Tracking: Purchase Order Line Tasks allow for tracking of individual items or services within a larger purchase order. This can be useful for complex orders that involve multiple items or services.
2. Detailed Information: These tasks can hold detailed information about each item or service, such as the quantity, unit price, and expected delivery date. This information may not be available at the Purchase Order Task level.
3. Status Tracking: Each Purchase Order Line Task can have its own status, allowing for more accurate tracking of the progress of the order. For example, one item may be delivered while another is still in transit.
4. Multiple Tasks Creation: Multiple Purchase Order Line Tasks are created when a Purchase Order contains multiple items or services. Each item or service will have its own task.
5. Integration with Other Modules: Purchase Order Line Tasks can be linked to other modules in ServiceNow, such as the Asset Management module. This allows for seamless tracking of assets from the point of order to delivery and use.
6. Automation and Workflow: The use of Purchase Order Line Tasks can facilitate automation and workflow in the procurement process. For example, tasks can be automatically created and assigned based on the items in a Purchase Order.
7. Reporting and Analytics: Having detailed tasks for each item or service in a Purchase Order can provide valuable data for reporting and analytics. This can help with procurement planning and decision-making.
If my response helps you resolve your issue. Kindly mark it as helpful & correct. It will be helpful to future readers!
Thanks and Regards,
Abhijeet Pawar.
