Hi community,
We are working on a use-case where swapped parts have to be registered.
Example:
A customer wants to keep defective hard disk drives and dispose these disk drives following their strict Asset Disposal process.
The first thought that comes up is: Register the defective (and to be kept) disk drive with the link to the originating device like a laptop, register the replacement disk drive with the link to the device where it replaces a (defective) disk drive like a laptop). Create Assets for the defective disk drives so Asset processes can be used to store and track and trace them and Asset Disposal can be used to dispose them in a strict controlled way.
Does anyone has experience with this?
Next step can be that also other swappable modules should be registered like keyboards, mainboards, interface cards, screens and so on. Also experiences with this that can be shared?
Many thanks in advance,
Ed
