Use Zebra scanner instead of Mobile Agent

Hi,

Due to security reasons we are not allowed to implement mobile applications like Mobile Agent or Now Mobile on our instance.
With this statement in mind does somebody already 'rewrote' the mobile applications like Stockroom and Location audits, Create, Look-up and Receive Assets and Asset picking in a way that they can be used without a mobile device but with a Zebra scanning device.
Or better: What or how to realize an alternative for the HAM related Mobile apps?

Hi all, I am also interested on this. Specially for using the mobile agent with the RFID scanners, where the collector reads many tags at the same time, and needs to manage that (matching the info with Servicenow database we have).

If this is possible, is there any way also to have the mobile agent ONLY, instead of having full PRO version?

Ed, one thing that came to my mind.....

the scanners are usually Android devices. Do you have the possibility to open the Servicenow in a web browser to see if it works in your case? Or does Security also prevents the scanner to connect to your Servicenow instance, like a web browser?
