User Criteria for Hardware Catalog Items

Hi community,

I'm playing with the Hardware Catalog, and now I think I'm a bit on a wrong track:

On the usual Service Catalog Items, I can easily select who can order (and who can not) a particular Catalog item. But on the Hardware Catalog, there is not such an option.

Can please someone explain me the background of this limitation, and how else I can automatically offer some Hardware Catalog Items to selected users?

OOB the user criteria related lists (available for/not available for) aren't on the form, but you can easily add them. It works exactly the same.

Oh, that's great, thank you! I thought it's intended to be configured differently. Knowing that the related lists are just missing (why ever) does already help me a lot.

Hi Team,

I noticed that in one ServiceNow instance, the Hardware Model (cmdb_hardware_product_model) form displays the related lists "Available for" and "Not Available for" alongside related lists such as Assets, Model Components, Vendor Catalog Items, Skills, and Hardware Model Lifecycles.

However, in my instance, when I navigate to:

Hardware Model → Configure → Related Lists

I do not see "Available for" or "Not Available for" in either the Available or Selected lists.

Could anyone help clarify:

1. Are "Available for" and "Not Available for" standard related lists for cmdb_hardware_product_model?
2. Do they require a specific plugin, application, or role to be enabled?
3. Are these related lists associated with User Criteria and only available under certain conditions?
4. If these are custom related lists, how can I identify the underlying table and configuration?

Any guidance on how to make these related lists available on the Hardware Model form would be greatly appreciated.
