Hi All,
when we crate a purchase order for consumable after the purchase order is received why the state of consumable is change to "in stock" and "available". do we need to consume them manually? how the state will be changed to consumed through purchase order?

The Purchase order for consumable is the first step to bringing the equipment in. Receiving it will make it In stock, Available because now you should physically have those in your possession. In order to consume them, you must go to Asset > Portfolios > Consumables and select the In stock, Available model and then click Consume and populate the quantity, Asset or User that you are giving that consumable to.
There is no auto-consume from the Purchase order, the only thing the Purchase order is meant to do is bring the equipment in.

Thanks Jill. Run that with a hardware model and the asset is purchased and put into use right away. I would have expected the same for a consumable model too.
