Hi folks,
I was recently asked if I could provide a forecast using ServiceNow for supported hardware projections. This report basically covers manufacturer's support for the purchased hardware in my company. When probed further, I was told that it is not warranty support, but driver and BIOS support that manufacturer provides to existing devices in the company.
I've explored a few options and so far, I can't see any end support date in hardware models. Can I know if this type of forecasts and projections can be done in ServiceNow?

Hi
I think you need to create a contract, for the asset, there is no attribute that capture this requirement.
- warranty contract
- support or maintenance contract for bios etc. and the a service offering to manage tickets

If its included maintenance i.e. web site driver support with a product, you could create a zero cost maintenance contract specifying the maintenance covered and time period available. Then you could create reports off of that information.

HAM includes integrations to auto-import asset warranty data for hardware assets in Washington DC (March ‘24) release. These imports are for individual manufacturers. Data is written directly to the serialized hardware asset record.
