Compose Email - Paste & Identify Multiple Recipients

Hi Community,

In HR Agent Workspace, the Compose Email functionality isn't allowing users to copy and paste a list of multiple email addresses into the "To" field. It requires entering them in one at a time. Is there a way to be able to paste a list of emails, from outlook for example, into the "To" field and have the system identify that each email is separated by semi-colons? See screenshots below for examples.

Sample email list: Becky Taillon <becky.taillon@arrow.com>; Harsha Indukuri <Harsha.Indukuri@arrow.com>; Missy Fagerstrom <missy.fagerstrom@arrow.com>; Tahra Porterfield <tahra.porterfield@arrow.com>; Fred Oliva <Fred.Oliva@arrow.com>

Pasted into the "To" field: The system thinks all five emails addresses in the list are one big email...

Thanks!

Hi,

Unfortunately, the functionality you want doesn't exist within the platform for agent workspace compose email feature. Each email address would need to be entered and then pressing enter to finish that one segment. Rinse and repeat as needed. Multiple pasted, even if separated by comma instead of semi-colon, will not work.

Please see this thread and a response directly from a ServiceNow product manager regarding this: https://community.servicenow.com/community?id=community_question&sys_id=4ff97cacdbc44d90019ac2230596... - this was as of just 22 days ago.

Hi @Becky T.

Thanks for marking my above reply as Helpful. Unfortunately, other than the idea submission option above, there's nothing else that can be done at this time within the platform.

If it also helped guide you Correctly, please also mark as Correct.

Thanks and take care! 🙂

Hi, Did ServiceNow fix this issue in any of the releases? is there any alternate option?

Thanks,

Hi, the alternate option can be creating new UI Action that redirects you to the backend version of email composer.
There you can paste semicolon separated emails.
