content item with external link

Hello,

if the end-user click on the content item with an external link most of the time the user will be redirected to the external link.

However, sometimes the user will see this view (see screenshot) still in ServiceNow and then have to click on the link to be redirected. 

Does anybody knows why sometimes this happens?

if your content item has URL in it then it should open that URL itself.

I couldn't see "Description" html type field on that table "sc_cat_item_content" when I checked in my OOTB instance.

Did someone create in your instance on that table?

If yes then that HTML field is rendering that URL and then user has to click the URL.

Hi @Ankur Bawiskar , thank you for your reply but unfortunately it did not answered my question.

Our table table "sc_cat_item_content" is also OOTB. Also 80% of the time the user will be directly redirected to the URL.

However sometimes the user will be redirected within the Snow page where the whole link is visible with the related articles displayed on the right (see first screenshot). I want to understand why sometimes that happen in order to avoid it.
