Hi susmitha,

Anything where you see the term "hrsm" is the access for Native/Platform/Backend UI and wherever you see the term "hrsp" it's to deal with your Portal related access.

  • HR fulfillment support: sn_core_hrsm
  • HR Service Portal: sn_core_hrsp

All the 4 roles you asked for are called as "Client roles

The client roles with “hrsm” in their name allow access to the platform while the client roles with “hrsp” in their name allow access to the Employee Service Center.

Mark my answer correct & Helpful, if Applicable.

Thanks,
Sandeep

Hi read the doc below,

https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/sandiego-employee-service-management/page/product/human-resources/concept/c_ClientRoles.html

  • HR fulfillment support: sn_core_hrsm (For HR case)
  • HR Service Portal: sn_hr_core_hrsp ( for Portal)

Hello,

sn_hr_core.hrsm_employee - Role is for Employees which will give access to some modules namely to see KB articles

sn_hr_sp.hrsp_employee - Gives access to ESC Portal

sn_hr_core.hrsm_new_hire - Role is for New Hire who are employees as well and works same way as that of other hrsm role but this role is auto assigned through client rules once new hire is onboarded

sn_hr_sp.hrsp_new_hire - Gives access to ESC portal, this role is auto assigned through client rules once new hire is onboarded

P.S : Whatever I have written is completely based on my understanding, some may not be 100% accurate.

Mark my answer as correct if that helps
