Document Templates vs HR Document Template

Hi,

I woul like to know the difference between two modules, Document Templates and HR Document Templates which is under HR Administration.

I could configure PDF generation with Document Temlates but I wonder it might be better to use HR Document Templates for HR related document generation.
In my senario, tranfer letter need to be filled by HR agent in some field before employee sign the document

Hi,

to my knowledge the API for the "HR Document Templates" is not really usable and is getting deprecated. Hence (to my knowledge) it might be removed. 

I've personally never used the HR Document Templates, but only the platform wide "document templates". Additionally, because I wanted to familirize myself with something that I could re-use in other products as well.

Hi @Kohei Tominaga1 These modules both present the document to the user but there are some differences. HR Document Templates have been around for some time and were focused on HRSD. The Document Templates plugin was introduced in Rome and is a platform feature, but is mainly consumed by HRSD. The main differences are that the new Document Templates allow for entry into the PDF form and save the values. In addition to this we are able to have multiple people filling fields in the form and have multiple reviewers. Lastly, in Document Templates have the ability for a reviewer to mark a field for review and add comments to allow for a smooth document authoring process. The HR Document Templates do not have this same feature. The recommendation would be to leverage the Document Templates that were introduced in Rome versus starting now with HR Document Templates.

Is Docment Task available in Agent workspace?

In my PDI, UI actions such as Preview document and document tasks are visible in Platform UI, but there are invisible in Agent workspace. Document tasks are not in HR task tab and there is not any document task tab...

Is there any additional plugin to use Document Template application in agent workspace?

Both plugin Document template and Agent Workspace for HR Case Management are up to date!
