How to Auto Assign a "Assigned to" field on HR Case

I would like to auto assign/map the manager field on HR Profile to the "Assigned to" field on HR Case., whenever new HR Case is created.
Right now, whenver HR Case is created by default it is assigning to HR Onboarding group and gets assigned to any user in that group. How and where do I remove this and add auto assign process as stated above.
Screenshots below.
Please let me know the process/script to achieve this.

auto assignment might be happening from HR Assignment rules.
Did you check that?
Also manager can be seen in Assigned to only when manager is member of Assignment group

You can cerate a HR template like below configuration to assign it to the manager:
On the HR service Configuration use the template you created:

- Bookmark
- Subscribe
- Mute
- Subscribe to RSS Feed
- Permalink

I did changed the assigned to field in the HR template, . But still it is getting auto assigned to HR Onboarding group OOTB. Where can I disable it? Screenshots below.

That's because you have a existing HR Assignment rule for the table "sn_hr_le_case" table.
Use the below filter :
You can remove the Group from this record:
