Hi All,
How to enable the local password for all pre-hire such that SSO enabled accounts are temporarily allowed to login via local password.
Please let me know for any solution.
Thanks

@puja kumari There are some options... One good option is to use the "External authentication" or "Guest" container of an SSO solution. You will have to talk to your SSO team and understand if the SSO solution supports this external container. This helps to allow the new hire to SSO without exposing the AD container and give a more seamless experience to the new hire. I have seen many customers take this route when their policies do not allow for a (serviceNow) local login.
If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as an accepted solution and give a thumbs up.
Regards,
Mike

Hi @puja kumari,
We've solved this as well with our SSO solution where the New Hire gets already an Microsoft Entra ID once "Recuriting" informs about the New Hire. This will then be used to also trigger our Preboarding process as well as which access this New Hire has (i.e. dedicated new hire portal with no access to the backend and rerouting the user to the new hire portal etc.).
In essence: This is not handled in ServiceNow. For ServiceNow this user is a regular "Microsoft Entra ID" User and we handle the access within ServiceNow with the "employment start date". Furthermore, our SSO requires 2FA for those new users.
Cheers,
Julian
