Force / Refresh Lifecycle Activity Sets

Hello together,

I wanted to reach out to my fellow HR experts as I'm looking for a way to force the "Lifecycle Event Case's Activities" within an HR Case. I do remember that I've seen something in the past where this has been done via an UI Action on the HR Case.

I'm well aware that the general goal is to "wait for the evauluation" time but sometimes it does make sense to force the check (i.e. to testing) or if it some activities are urgent.

The direct ask: I would like to refresh the evaluation of all HR Lifecycle Activity Sets within any given HR Case.

Cheers,

Julian

@JulianLemcke as of the SanDiego release we introduced the ability to do this in real time. Here is the link to the ServiceNow product documentation. A few key items is that you need to have HRSD Enterprise. This is a great feature that other customers have used to solve the issue with waiting for the evaluation interval. As a reminder, it is best practice to NOT lower the evaluation interval, but to use this new feature introduced to meet the "real time triggering" use cases.

If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as an accepted solution and give a thumbs up.

Regards,

Mike

@JulianLemcke I am not sure what you are referring to.  Here is a link where we went into a bit more detail on the Evaluation Interval and the parallel processing estimates.

Hi @michaelj_sherid, wonderful that was the link I was missing and the script that I've not found. Thanks a lot!

Addittionally, are you aware of any "maximum times of cycles"? I do remember that it was not infinite to refresh them.

Thanks again for the fast reply @michaelj_sherid, I was more referring to the following: Is it possible to force the "condition check" infiite times? So could I create a fix script and run it 100.000 times to check if the condition is met I did a check now with the a fix script and saw the following.

I basically tried to "check in real time" for 5000 times. I'm aware that this is not a reasonable number, but I wanted to check the limits where to see where this "you can check the activity set as often as you like" ends.

And I also saw that I could simply "resume" the case afterwards.
