how to restrict a link button to a certain role

I have Link button widget on a page. How can I restrict the button to a certain role. I have 2 buttons and want to restrict one button to a role. How can I do this?

Hi,

If it's a widget, you can easily add the roles that are required to view the widget via the ''Role'' field.

If you cannot view this field, you might need to de-activate the Client script ''Hide Roles if User Criteria Enabled''.
Or you can add User Criteria to the widget via the related list:
