Hi kali, by "auto populate" checklist, do you mean create a task with a pre-defined checklist, or do you want to auto-check some of the items? Assuming the first scenario, you can do the following:
1. Go-to HR Administration>HR Services>HR Templates
2. Click on the "New" UI Action
3. Give the template a name and select the HR Task table
4. Save the record, then select "Switch to new UI". If you navigate to the new template form from creating a Service Activity, you will already be in the new UI.
5. Once in the New UI, you should be able to select "HR task type = Checklist"
6. You can then add checklist items in the section below that (note: the + sign does nothing, type your checklist items in the field and hit Enter to add another one).
Once you configured any template fields you want to use, this template can now be used to create an HR Task (either ad-hoc or via a service activity).
Hope this helps.
