HRSD Recording Outbound Email in Work Notes Activity List

I need all outbound email triggered (updated record, event, etc.) by an HR Case to log the outbound email in the work notes activity log. The instance I am reviewing has some email notifications that record to the work notes activity log but some don't. 

What might have caused some but not others to log the outbound email to the work notes activity log associated with the HR case?

What is the preferred method to log the outbound email to the work notes activity log associated with the HR case?

The email notifications were correctly writing to the work notes, just not the work notes that they expected. The issue was that the notification was triggered from an HR Case task which updated the HR Case task work notes and not the work notes for the parent HR Case.

Hi @MGanon 

 

If a particular user is not able to see the email log in activity stream, it is because of the roles he have.

 

But if some mail are not visible in activity stream, check the status of that email in email log. If it is 'send-ignored'/'send-failed'/'send-ready' those mails will not be shown in the activity stream.

The emails send as expected. The issue is that some consistently do not write to the work notes activity log while other notifications do write to the work notes activity log.

Hi there,

 

For those that aren't visible in activity log, check them in Email log, do they have type of sent (or received)? Also the Target field should not be empty.

Sometimes some COEs have different options selected on the Filter Activity list of what shows/doesn't. have you checked each COE has both email options as showing?
