Human Resources > Case field definitions (Actual start, end, and resolution)

I'm trying to understand how the Actual start field is populated on cases.
What behavior triggers that?  Is it the state change?

More context:   Building a report and SLA's.

Is using Case > {Actual start} the same as going to the Metrics and looking for the {State} change to Work In Progress?

Larger question:  Where can I get a definition for all oob fields in the Case table?
Particularly Actual start, Actual end, Actual resolution

Hi @Kathryn Compton ,

As you rightly mentioned Actual start is same as going to the Metrics and looking for the {State} change to Work In Progress and Actual end is when the Case is Closed Complete/Incomplete.

Actual resolution time gets calculated based on a business rule called "Populate Actual Resolution Time" running on "sn_hr_core_case" Table.

The HR Case OOTB field's Definition : Work an HR case

This is very helpful confirmation for my immediate question about Actual fields.  The Work and HR Case article is also helpful but only explains the major fields and lists on the case form.

I'm looking for definitions for all fields available from the case list view > Settings > Personalize List Columns.  It's hard to decide how to personalize if you don't know what all those many fields actually mean.  I don't want us to miss out on or reinvent data that is already available.
