Hi everyone,
My question is as per the topic. I've heard some rumors that Employee Center may replace Service Portal in the near future and that it will bring together both ITSM and HR functionalities to make one portal for everything.
Does anyone know if this is true?

ServicePortal will not disappear but Employee Center will be available as an improved portal with a more employee centric focus. it will be available as a store download and as Markus mentioned EC will be free and EC Pro will require a licence.

First a disclamer: I am not a product manager in ServiceNow, I work in the employee workflows BU as a solution consultant so these comments are my own personal interpretation of all the insights I've gotten.
my statement above stands true. both /esc and /sp are built on Service Portal technology. Hence the employee Center features are more an addition of more EX friendly components and widgets that help customers deliver their projects faster. Thus I would suppose that /sp will still be there in our instances and if you have it implemented it shouldn't disappear and be replaced with /esc over an update.
My best recommendation is that you move customers to /esc as they refresh their portals or when they onboard new business units. before that they can continue as they are today. And of course make sure you implement all new projects on /esc since it's a better experience 😉

Do we implement Employee Center as primary portal instead of Service Portal for ITSM ?
