Knowledge Blocks not found after clicking "Add Blocks"

When trying to add knowledge blocks to KB articles, after clicking the "Add Blocks" button nothing appears. Receive a message stating "Your search term "<searchstring>" did not match any blocks". The blocks I have created are in the same KB, are active, published, and the blocks/KBs are NOT using templates.

If I click "Advanced" within the "Add Blocks" search screen all blocks appear for that Knowledge Base.

Is there something I am missing in regards to getting the "Add Blocks" pop up to search existing active and published blocks for the KB?

Hi Diane,

The search functionality for Knowledge Blocks does not work very well for me either.

What I do is:

1. I search using the "Advanced" option.

2. Copy the short description of the Knowledge block I want.

3. Paste it in the normal search.

4. The block should appear now.

5. Add the block the the KB article.

Hope it helps,

Thank you,

Greg,

I can find the article(s) going to the "Advanced" option but I CANNOT type any search criteria in, I have to scroll through all published articles.

If I do type any search criteria under 'text' search I get an 'No records to display'.

It is interesting to hear this. The expected behavior is to click the Add Blocks button and the Add Blocks panel slides open from the right with a message of "Search for blocks by using the search field or the button above". Are you seeing the message about your search term immediately or is it that you are using the search section within the Add Blocks panel and it's returning no results? Below is a screenshot of what is expected.

Hi Kiel

For me I am seeing the correct "Search for blocks by using the search field or the button above". When I start entering text in the "Search Blocks" field, it looks like it starts to search but never finds anything and I get the message "Your search term "<searchstring>" did not match any blocks". This is even if I am copying/pasting words from the Short Description of valid, published, KB Blocks.

Do these blocks need to be indexed in some way? Added to search scope? I have not seen anything like that mentioned in documentation.

I am trying to see if I get the same behavior in my personal instance but I can't even get the "Add Blocks" button to bring up the pop up box to search.
