Hi All,
We are trying to automate the process of on boarding using ServiceNow to Sailpoint integration.
Team suggested two options,
Option 1: Add the new created user into the ServiceNow sys_user table where IDN will use an out of the box connector to read & write.
Option 2: When the ServiceNow form is submitted ServiceNow will perform a POST API call to IDN with the required values of the new user to be created. Ultimately making IDN the source of truth.
For Option 1 SailPoint team suggested the below steps.
- For this you will not need our help (SailPoint)
- You can design the schema internally on what attributes are stored for user from the form which is needed for user creation. Perhaps existing attributes can be used which is used in AD -> SNOW sync to keep it consistent.
- Requirements
- We will just need a way to filter via SNOW search users which are Employees (Coming from Chris21) vs Non-Employees (SNOW HR Form). This could be a simple attribute which is populated to distinguish between them (or something existing like employee type attribute if it does exist). The idea is that IDN will create two connectors to pull users and will need to filter between both types.
- Also, a unique employee number will need to be generated (in any option) for IDN to ingest and identify and stored on the table.
- You can also look into how the modify forms can then interact and allow updates to existing users.
Can anyone help me on these configurations or any document or articles for this.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Aswathy
