We're in the process of migrating both a Service Portal instance and an ESC instance to a common presentation using EC Pro. The more interesting questions are starting to surface now, like "is there a recommended best practice as to where to publicize things like unplanned outages? On Service Portal we just stuck a banner across the top - what is suggested once that's not available any longer?" Content Experiences? News Feed? Other?

@Swankeeper Best approach is to create an Announcement on Service Portal
Please go through this https://portalorem.com/blog/custom-corner-service-portal-announcements tutorial to know steps to create an Announcement in ServiceNow.
Here is the official documentation for the same https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/washingtondc-platform-user-interface/page/build/service-portal/ta...
Hope this helps.

Hi @Swankeeper ,
Its the same like SP , you can use the announcement module to broadcast your outages and informations on ESC too. Its pretty simple to do you can navigate to > Service portal > Announcements.
Click on new >
select type as banner or widget as needed (banner recommended for outages)
Enter all the info realted to the accouncements... like name, title , from, to , behaviour etc...
and in Portal tab > select the portal you want to make it visible on. (Eg. ESC).
Save it.. your done !
I hope this helps...
