Retire article - What happens when I selected 'yes' to replace an article with another existing

Hi everyone,

I don't really understand the behavior when I retire an article and choose to replace it for another.

For example, if I retire article KB123456 and select yes to replace it for article KB999999 what happens?

What is the behavior?

See the print below:

Thank if anyone can help.

Hi,

I've not seen this before. Is this within a workspace? Can you provide more context to how you're getting to this popup?

Hi @Kieran Anson ,

Yes it is in Workspace. You just need to make the property 'glide.knowman.enable_article_replacement_on_retire' with Value 'True'

Thanks for the additional info. Didn't know about that.

Quick look at the retire UI action, the article being retired has it's

replacement_article field modified with the replacement article value.

This allows the knowledge portal to redirect to the replacement article if someone tries to access the retired article. This improves the user journey by not presenting them with a 'no access' screen
