UI Policy on case form not showing a field when the conditions are met

I have a record producer that has a choice field with the choices of Yes / No. There's a UI policy on the catalog item that says if that choice field is Yes, then show a date field. The UI Policy works correctly on the record producer.
But on the case form, there's a UI policy that says if that Yes / No field (mapped from the record producer) is Yes, then show the date field. But it's not working. The Choice field on the case form shows Yes, but the date field isn't displayed. If I manually change that Yes / No field to No, then back to Yes, then the date field displays. It's like the UI Policy doesn't see that the value set on that field from the record producer is actually Yes, even though it shows as Yes.
It's got me stumped.

@Mark Small Please check if the UI Policy defined on the case form has On Load checkbox set to true.
