Unable to select few HR services on case form when translated.

Hi experts,

We have translated our HR services to Thai/Japanese language. On case form when language is English, we are able to select any HR service available on reference filed but when Language changed to Thai/Japanese, we are able to view the HR services on reference filed but unable to select them. When tried to click and select HR service nothing happens.

Did anyone face similar situation. Please let me know the workaround to fix this.

To begin resolving this issue, we need to examine the underlying configuration and make some adjustments to ensure the HR services can be selected regardless of the language being used. Here's a workaround to fix this problem:

  1. First, we need to identify the form and field where the HR services are displayed. Let's assume the field name is "hr_service" on the case form.

  2. Go to the ServiceNow Form Designer and open the form associated with the case where the HR services are displayed.

  3. Locate the "hr_service" field on the form and access its properties.

  4. Look for the "Dictionary Overrides" section and click on it.

  5. Within the "Dictionary Overrides" section, locate the "Language" field and check if it has any specific configurations for Thai or Japanese languages. If it does, we need to modify these configurations to ensure the field behaves consistently across all languages.

  6. Remove any language-specific overrides for the "hr_service" field, making sure that the field's behavior remains consistent across all languages.

  7. Save the changes and exit the Form Designer.

Hi Riya, the "Dictionary Overrides" section is empty for HR service field. Not sure what to check now. Can you please help me here. Thanks

Hi, make sure there is no space (extra character) at the end of the name while translating.
