Is Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) causing a second-password vanishing act in your email forms? You are not alone. Using IE 11 to save a form that has two password input fields clears the contents of the second password input field and immediately breaks your email on the instance. Other customized forms that have two or more password input fields are also affected.

The reason for this sudden "wipeout" is due to IE's new security constraints on autocomplete for password fields. When autocomplete is on, IE 11 deletes the field values. Setting the field attribute autocomplete to off does not work either.

The solution? Use another browser or version of IE. If no other option, you can adjust your IE 11 AutoComplete settings to fix:

  1. Open the Tools menu.
  2. Select Internet Options.
  3. Select Content.
  4. Click Settings.

  5. Under AutoComplete Settings, uncheck User names and passwords on forms.
