I would like to create a new company department master in ITSM. Could you please confirm if the following procedure for creating a new company department master in ITSM is correct? The process is expected to be similar to user registration, as outlined below:

  1. Development Environment: Manually register by pressing the 'New' button for the company and department.
  2. Development Environment: Filter the target records from the list screen and export them in XML format.
  3. Production Environment: Import the XML exported in step 2 from the respective list screens."

yes the steps are correct.

Just want to inform usually company and departments are not creating manually but loaded using data source as they are part of foundation data.

Once data is loaded in DEV, it can be migrated via export XML to TEST and PROD

Thankyou Ankur!

Normally, we import company department data via AD integration, but this time we need to manually create a company department that is outside of AD.

If there are any documents that describe the method for creating company departments, could you please share them?"

HI @真由藤田

I would like to create a new company department master in ITSM. Could you please confirm if the following procedure for creating a new company department master in ITSM is correct? The process is expected to be similar to user registration, as outlined below:

  1. Development Environment: Manually register by pressing the 'New' button for the company and department.

Atul:

I am a BPC in the ecosystem and happy to help with this.

It depends—are you creating just one department or multiple? If multiple, I recommend using a Transform Map.

It also matters whether this is a one-time data load at the beginning of the project or if your business is already running and you need to add new records.

Additionally, is there an integration in place to fetch data from a tool like Active Directory (AD)? If not, then your understanding of the process is correct.

  1. Development Environment: Filter the target records from the list screen and export them in XML format.

Atul: Yes, that is correct.

  1. Production Environment: Import the XML exported in step 2 from the respective list screens."

Atul: Yes, that is correct.
